Assassin’s Creed Creator’s 1666 Amsterdam Gets First Concept Gameplay

1666 Amsterdam was a game from Assassin’s Creed creator Patrice Désilets. He left Ubisoft to work on his own new IP which ended up being 1666 Amsterdam. This mysterious new game has yet to get an actual gameplay footage until today, when we saw a glimpse of it during a presentation given by the creator at a conference in Europe.

You can watch this off-screen gameplay footage below. This just shows the concept of the game and from the looks of it, it allows the player to control various animals and also has an Assassin’s Creed vibe going for it.

1666 Amsterdam was supposedly in development for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and it was later planned to be ported to PS4 and Xbox One, although this never happened thanks to the publisher THQ Montreal closing down. Patrice Désilets has managed to get the rights to the IP back from Ubisoft so it is possible that the game gets developed again through another publisher. As it stands, the only bit of gameplay footage that has been shown includes the footage that was seen at the presentation.
