Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Revealed By Ubisoft, Trailer To Be Shown At E3 2018

Ubisoft has revealed the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game that is set to launch later this year. This was leaked earlier through an official product which was a keychain. The keychain confirmed the name and logo for the game which ended up being true as Ubisoft later decided to just ditch all the speculations and confirmed on their official Twitter account that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is real. They also showed a very tiny glimpse of the gameplay that hinted at Greece setting with Spartans taking the lead.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will follow up after Assassin’s Creed Origins and it seems to be the next major game in the series since the gameplay reboot started with Origins. Right now, there is not much to go on in term of official details but you can watch a short snippet of gameplay below.

You can see that a Spartan kick is performed in the trailer. This likely makes reference to the famous ‘This is Sparta!’ kick in the Hollywood movie 300 that has managed to become an internet sensation. It is nice of Ubisoft to reveal their game after the leak.

Assassin’s Creed was an yearly franchise just like Call of Duty, until the games started to get critically panned starting with Assassin’s Creed Unity. Ubisoft decided to give the series an off year and followed it up with Origins which seemed to work well as the game was a critical and commercial hit.
