Assassin’s Creed Origins Update 1.04 Released, Improves Performance

Ubisoft has rolled out another update for Assassin’s Creed Origins today. The update is out on all major platforms and unlike the last one, this doesn’t appear to add any major changes to the game. The last update patched the game to version 1.03 and added support for the Xbox One X in addition to HDR support for the PS4 and Xbox One.

The latest update for Assassin’s Creed Origins patches the game to version 1.04 and while there are no official patch notes, the description on PS4 lists the following changes.

Version 1.04

Improved performance and stability

This is a rather vague description but considering the performance improvements that were introduced in the last update, it shouldn’t be surprising to expect more improved performance with this new update. Some of the issues that the game faced at launch were related to the performance dropping in cutscenes while the rest of the game was stable 30 fps for the most part.

Assassin’s Creed Origins runs on a dynamic 4K resolution on all consoles while it manages to stick closer to its 4k target on Xbox One X, the resolution is admittedly lower on the PS4 Pro. PS4 version of the game also runs at 1080p resolution with dynamic scaling and slighting reduced visuals compared to the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
