Assassin’s Creed Syndicate street date has been broken and early copies are already out in the wild. Some of these early users are sharing their gameplay and screenshots online, which gives us an idea of the native resolution of the game.
NeoGAF user Lurgan1337 has managed to get his hand on an early PS4 copy of the game and has shared some direct-feed screenshots, allowing us to get a closer look at the PS4 version of the game. While we still don’t know the resolution of the PS4 and Xbox One version, the screenshots appear to render at a vertical resolution of 1080. If this turns out to be the case, then it will be a step up from the 900p of Assassin’s Creed Unity and match the native 1080p resolution of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag on PS4.
Update: More screenshots of the PS4 version have appeared online and we can now confirm that the game still renders at native 900p on PS4, atleast in gameplay. You can check out the screenshot with the pixels highlighting the 900p resolution below.
Don’t take this as confirmation though, as we will do a more detailed analysis once we get our hands on both versions of the game. You can see these screenshots in the gallery below.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is currently set for a release on October 23rd for the PS4 and Xbox One. It will arrive on the PC next month in November.
