EA DICE has finally lifted the curtains on the upcoming mainline Battlefield 1 and they seem to have started from scratch and completely rebooted the series, this time set in a world war 1 setting compared to the modern times of Battlefield 4.
Battlefield 1 is also confirmed to have a single player campaign mode in addition to the standard 64-players multiplayer mode. The game will also feature vehicles including light tanks, heavy tanks, bomber planes, biplanes, boats, battleships in addition to horses. You can watch its launch trailer below.
Players can also gain and early access to the game through EA Access membership. The game will launch on October 21st but those who have EA Access membership will be able to play it early on October 16th. This offer is available exclusively for the Xbox One.
Battlefield 1 was leaked earlier today through an Xbox One store listing and then later confirmed through leaked promotional material that also listed a Hellfighter edition of the game with a release date of October 18th, perhaps hinting at an early release of that edition. The full game will officially launch on October 21st for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
The footage seen in the reveal trailer is from in-engine and doesn’t represent the graphical quality of the final game, just like it was the case with Star Wars Battlefront.
