Bayonetta 3 And Metroid Prime 4 To Launch In 2018 According To Nintendo Norway [Update]

Bayonetta 3 was one of the biggest surprise at The Game Awards 2017. Both Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4 were revealed last year but have no confirmed release window officially set from Nintendo. This might change as the official Nintendo Norway page has now listed both games as releasing in 2018 for the Nintendo Switch.

Bayonetta 3 is being developed by Platinum Games while Metroid Prime 4 developer is currently unknown. Both games haven’t really received any major update since their initial teaser reveal but the same was the case with Xenoblade 2 when it was revealed for the Nintendo Switch, so perhaps this can turn out to be true after all.

Update: The article initially referred to it as official Nintendo source however it appears to be from a third party distributor. Since this is not an official source, there is no confirmation here of Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4 release window for now. Lastly, the page was updated to remove any reference to both games releasing in 2018.

Bayonetta 3 has been rumored to launch in 2018 but this is the first time there is an official confirmation of it, but it can also turn out to be a mistake by Nintendo Norway. We might find out about it soon if the rumored Nintendo Direct reveals the release date for both these games.

Nintendo had a fantastic year in 2017 with games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey releasing for the Nintendo Switch. It also received strong third party support from developers and a surge of indie games which were successful on their own. Hopefully the momentum continues leading into 2018.
