Bethesda Might Be Teasing A New Fallout Game

Bethesda Softworks are the publisher behind Fallout, The Elder Scrolls and Wolfenstein. They have some of the biggest IPs in gaming. They have a conference set for E3 2018 and despite that, they appear to be already teasing major announcements. First they revealed RAGE 2, which is a sequel and open world first person shooter with vehicle combat. Now they appear to be teasing another new Fallout game.

The official Bethesda Softworks twitter account has shared a tweet that shows the “Please Stand By’ message which is a series trademark for Fallout. They did this in the past before announcing Fallout 4 so it remains to be seen what kind of announcement they have currently in store for the fans regarding the future of Fallout.

Fallout 4 was released in November 2015. The game has received plenty of post-launch DLC including a full story expansion called Far Harbor. If this new announcement is any indication, this might be a spin-off to Fallout 4 or perhaps a brand new Fallout 5, although the latter seems to be highly unlikely since Fallout games are known for their large development cycle.

Fallout 4 was released to critical acclaim and sold through a record amount of copies within its launch week. It is one of the fastest selling Fallout game in the series and it is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
