Borderlands 3 Won’t Be Shown At E3 2018

Borderlands 3 was one of the leaked games from Walmart Canada. The list that including some of the unannounced games including RAGE 2 appear to have some authenticity to it with the confirmation of the sequel to RAGE, but when it comes to Borderlands 3, it doesn’t appear to make the cut for an E3 reveal.

Borderlands is an extremely popular co-op shooter by Gearbox Software. Recently, they told ShackNews that the game won’t be showcased at E3 2018. Instead of showing Borderlands 3, Gearbox Software will have other games to show at the upcoming E3 2018.

Borderlands has received 2 mainline games and a spin-off. The game is also available on the current generation consoles with Borderlands 2 and its spin-off that launched in a bundle for the PS4 and Xbox One.

Gearbox Software hasn’t really made it a secret that they are working on the 3rd game for this popular shooter, but they haven’t really revealed any significant or confirmed details for it yet. They did have an interesting tech demo in 2017 that hinted at the game engine and tech that might be utilized for the upcoming Borderlands sequel, but aside from that, there is nothing much to go on. Walmart Canada leak did give hope that we might finally hear about it at E3 2018 but this rumor has been put to rest by Gearbox Software now.
