Genome Abilities are special skills that are exclusive to the Vampire Job class. To obtain a Genome ability you’ll have to survive a unique enemy skill, which will inturn allow you to learn that skill permanently. The Genome Abilities can only be obtained by characters using the Vampire Job class or when they have the job ability Genome Dragon equipped. Genome Drain is unlocked at Level 13 for the Vampire Job class. Do note that most of these abilities are around Chapter 4 of the game, so if you pass said chapter then you’ll have to do the The Dimensional Hasp to fight the monsters again.

Bravely Default Genome Ability

Curse
MP per use: 12
Location: Magician in Underflow, Volcano Cave just before entering the Fire Temple. After Chapter 4 find Specter in Harena Ruins B2 and Dimension’s Hasp B8.
Description: Lowers Physical Attack and Defence of one target.

Spray
MP per use: 12
Location: Death Fish in Sea in Chapter 5. After Chapter 5 check Dimension’s hasp B8.
Description: Water based attack on single target, also pierces Default.

Venom
MP per use: 6
Location: Red Flan in Underflow, Volcano Cave just before entering the Fire Temple. After Chapter 4 check Dimension’s Hasp B8.
Description: Physical attack on single target that inflicts Poison.

Wing Scale
MP per use: 8
Location: Great Moth in Vestment Cave 1st floor. After Chapter 4 check Dimension’s Hasp B6.
Description: Physical attack on single target that inflicts Confusion.

Firestorm
MP per use: 24
Location: Flame Moth in Underflow, appears in Chapter 5 and so on.
Description: Fire elemental attack that lowers Physical Defence of all targets.

Tornado
MP per use: 16
Location: Rukh in Florem region.
Description: Wind damage is dealt to all opponents.

Blizzard Blast
MP per use: 16
Location: Ice Golden in Eternia Central Command.
Description: Water damage is dealt to all opponents.

Dual Attack
MP per use: 15
Location: Catamount in Witherwoods. After Chapter 4 check Dimension’s Wasp B6.
Description: Two swift attacks on random targets.

Tornado
MP per use: 16
Location: Rukh in Florem region.
Description: Wind damage is dealt to all opponents.

Chomp
MP per use: 10
Location: Valtora in Eisenburg region. After Chapter 4 check Dimension’s Hasp B5.
Description: Reduces single target’s HP to 1.

Blaster
MP per use: 20
Location: Zwart in Dusk Ruins.
Description: Selected targets will be Paralyzed.

Hell Fire
MP per use: 30
Location: Cerberus in Vampire Castle.
Description: Fire elemental damage is inflicted on all opponents.

Deep Freeze
MP per use: 30
Location: Orthros in Wind Temple (Boss).
Description: Water elemental damage is inflicted on all opponents.

Paralyzing Protein
MP per use: 10
Location: Alraune in Florem region. After Chapter 4 check Dimension’s Wasp B6.
Description: Physical attack on single target that inflicts Paralyze.

Fireball
MP per use: 16
Location: Rukh in Florem region.
Description: Fire elemental attack to single opponent that also reduced Physical Defence.

Bone Crush
MP per use: 2
Location: Lester in Vampire Castle (Boss) or Skull Lancer in Mythril Mines.
Description: All-more damage is inflicted on injured enemies.

Withering Silence
MP per use: 8
Location: Kobold in Norende Ravine in Chapter 5 and so on.
Description: Physical attack on single target that inflects Silence.

Earthquake
MP per use: 30
Location: Soil Eater in Eisenburg Region. After Chapter 4 check Dimension’s Hasp B5.
Description: Earth elemental attack that hits all opponents.

Sandstorm
MP per use: 20
Location: Sand Worm in Harena Ruins and Ancheim Region. After Chapter 4 check Dimension’s Hasp B2.
Description: Earth elemental attack on all opponents that leaves them Blind.

Gastric Juice
MP per use: 20
Location: Gastric Worm in Everlast Tower. After Chapter 4 check Dimension’s Hasp B8.
Description: Physical attack that lowers Physical Defence.

Rock Storm
MP per use: 16
Location: Kaiser Cobra in Everlast Tower and Temple of Earth.
Description: Physical attack on all opponents that inflicts Poison.

White Wind
MP per use: 40
Location: Aero Lantern in Wind Temple. After Chapter 4 check Dimension’s Hasp B7. This is tricky since it’s a healing move. Best strategy is to charm them so they cast Aero Lantern on you.
Description: Physical attack on single target that inflects Silence.

Lullaby
MP per use: 12
Location: Treant in Florem Region.
Description: All opponents are put to sleep.

Aqua Regia
MP per use: 24
Location: Rusalka in Water Temple (Boss).
Description: Attack that lowers Physical Defence.

Energy Burst
MP per use: 1
Location: Chaugmar in Fire Temple (Boss) or Lester in Vampire Castle (Boss).
Description: High physical damage is dealt to all opponents.

Description: Massive Lightning Damage to all opponents.

Aeroja
MP per use: 99
Location: Treant in Florem Region.
Description: Massive Wind Damage to all opponents.
