Bungie Explains Destiny 2 PC Bans, Confirms Restricted Third Party Apps

Destiny 2

Destiny 2 is out now for PC. The game launched early in September for the PS4 and Xbox One while the PC version was not released until a whole month later. Recently, Bungie has also shared details about the post-launch roadmap for the PC version. While the game has managed to launch on PC without major issues, there were reports of PC owners getting banned even if they didn’t violate any rules.

Bungie has now talked about these bans and stated that each of the ban was given after manual investigation of the account in question. They also gave a number for the amount of bans that they have given to users so far and it currently stands at 400 users. They are also reversing bans for 4 users who had played the Destiny 2 PC beta.

Bungie has also listed the third party applications that are not allowed when playing Destiny 2 on PC. It was rumored that some of the users that were banned used these applications when playing Destiny 2 which sparked an outrage among the community since many of the common applications that are used by PC players appear to be restricted here.

Destiny 2 is available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. It was developed by Bungie and published by Activision.
