The Call of Duty Championship starts today. Activision and its partner Major League Gaming are bringing us the tournament we have all been waiting for. The top teams will get there share of the $1 million dollars that is been declared as prize money. The Championship starts in March. The Online Qualifiers started yesterday. The following teams qualified: Complexity, Curse LV, Team Kaliber, Optic Gaming, FaZe, EnvyUs, Strictly Business and JustUs.
Last year, Fariko Impact became the Call of Duty World Champions. Since then, a lot has changed. Rosters have changed.
The 2nd leg of the qualifiers will take place on 8th Febuary, 2014.
The U.S. Regional Final will follow at Full Sail University on March 8-9. Where the top eight teams from each qualifier will compete for a spot in the Championship. Tickets for the event will be available beginning Feb. 3 at 5 p.m. ET in the MLG store. You can also buy a $100 VIP passes that grant access to both days, reserved seating, a behind-the-scenes tour and much more.
The Call of Duty Championship finals will take place in Los Angeles March 28-30, where 32 qualifying teams will compete. That event will be streamed at MLG.tv and on Xbox One.
