Call of Duty: WWII’s Latest Update Tweaks Weapon And Adjust Maps

Sledgehammer Games has released a brand new update for Call of Duty: WWII today. This update is mainly for tweaking some of the weapon balance and it also deals with adjustments to some of the multiplayer maps.

The full set of patch notes for this update can be read below, as shared by Sledgehammer Games.


FG 42

  • Recoil buff
  • Slight fire rate buff

Grease Gun

  • Recoil adjustment to give player more control
  • ADS transition time buff


  • ADS transition time nerf

Lee Enfield

  • ADS transition time buff

Combat Shotgun

  • Slight Max Damage range nerf, still overall buff to where it was at launch of game

Sawed-Off Shotgun

  • Max and Mid Damage range buff
  • Buff to number of pellets to kill
  • Reload time buff
  • Hip spread nerf


  • Moved defensive start spawns in S&D on Sainte Marie du Mont
  • Moved CTF flag positions back on London Docks

Call of Duty: WWII is available now for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game marks the return to the World War era for the series after the focus on a sci-fic shooter with most of the recent games. It is also quickly becoming one of the best selling Call of Duty release on the current generation consoles second to Call of Duty Black Ops 3.

Call of Duty: WWII was developed by Sledgehammer Games while it is published by Activision.
