Call of Duty 2014 Codenamed ‘Blacksmith’, To Be Announced In May – Report

It’s around that time of the year where the new Call of Duty is announced. This announcement is highly anticipated due to the series being the most popular and most played FPS title in the world.

Call of Duty 2014 has been codenamed Blacksmith and Activision are going to announce the game in May and will be sharing more information about the game at E3. For those of you who don’t know what E3 is, it is the year’s biggest gaming expo where developers and publishers announce or share information about their games and it is greatly anticipated by gamers from all around the world.

Many people think that the upcoming Call of Duty game will be another installment in the Modern Warfare series due to Sledgehammer Games’ involvement in the development of Modern Warfare 3, where they made the campaign. Now they are getting their very own title to work on so now the rotation between developers for the games will be amongst three developers, which will be Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Treyarch.

Now that the month is almost over, we can expect Activision to announce the game very soon. This will be the first Call of Duty Sledgehammer Games will be fully developing so we can expect something new and innovative.
