Rumour has it that the new Call of Duty game will be set in the World War 1 times. The highly anticipated FPS game will be available on the Current-Gen consoles as well as the PC and the game will be called Call of Duty: Patriots.
As we reported yesterday, that the game was codenamed ‘Blacksmith’. That is actually the name of one of the protagonists in the game. Maybe it is the codename of the main character that we play in the campaign of Call of Duty: Patriots.
Speaking of the campaign, the game is rumoured to have a six hour long campaign with two sub-campaigns. Sledgehammer Games worked on the campaign for Modern Warfare 3 and that was a lot of fun so we can expect good things from them. The campaign can be played solo or via online co-op so you can play it with a friend, similar to the Call of Duty: World at War campaign.
The game will also add light element to the setting but keep it mind that nothing is confirmed and these are all rumours so the co-op campaign etc might not be an option in the game and the game might not even be called Call of Duty: Patriots.
We expect Activision or Sledgehammer Games to make an announcement soon and share some information about Call of Duty: Patriots in the upcoming month.
