Ryse: Son of Rome is an upcoming launch title for the Xbox One. Developed by Crytek, the art and visual marvels behind the famous Crysis franchise, as an exclusive for the Xbox One, Ryse: Son of Rome differs from the futuristic work done by Crytek on the Crysis franchise.
Set in the Roman era, Ryse: Son of Rome will place you in the boots of a Roman general named Marius Titus. The game features heavy Quick Time Events or QTEs along with giving commands to your infantry. Ryse has been under a lot of fire from the community when it was revealed that it would not be running at native 1080p resolution on the Xbox One; instead, it will be upscaled to 1080p from a native resolution of 900p. Also the polygon triangles for each of the characters went down massively from ~150k triangles to ~85k triangles. This does not mean that Ryse: Son of Rome just took a massive nose dive in visual quality. Ryse still looks great visually.

The high resolution character art is really impressive and shows the details on the characters pretty well.
Ryse: Son of Rome has not been receiving positive previews for itself with many citing the game as entertaining as dialing a phone number, over and over again. Let’s see if the game becomes a successful launch title for the Xbox One among the masses when it is released on November 22 alongside the Xbox One.
