Developers Treyarch announced today that the much requested Clans feature, or Groups as they’ll be called, is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops III.
Players will be able to migrate their Clans from the previous COD game, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, to Black Ops III by going to this link.
Here’s a description of the Groups function:
Groups (currently in Beta state) adds an entirely new social element to the Black Ops universe. For the first time in a Call of Duty game, Groups offers an unprecedented in-game community designed from the ground up to bring players together. Tightly integrated with existing game systems, Groups helps players quickly expand their network of comrades and competitors. Join a Group of like-minded weekend warriors or create your own to take your clan to the next level.
Groups can be access by going to the Social section in the menus. The function will allow players to use options such as quick join, full overview of group activity, roster, leaderboard and showcase while Group leaders will be able to access admin settings as expected.
