Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has finally been released for the PS4 and since it is a console exclusive, the game hasn’t been confirmed for any other platform. PS4 has a string of good hits this year, majority of which were exclusives. From first party games like Gravity Rush 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn to Persona 5 and Nioh, PS4 owners have been treated to quite an amazing first half of this year and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has easily trumped them all with its debut week sales in UK.
According to the sales data shared by GFK Chark Track, the game had the best launch for a console exclusive this year beating the likes of games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Nioh. This is a rather impressive launch for a game that is a remaster of 3 original Crash Bandicoot games released for the PS1. It also shows that Crash Bandicoot is still relevant today in the current gaming market.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy features the first 3 Crash Bandicoot games that were originally released as PS1 exclusives. The game is being sold for $40 which is a rather modest price compared to the standard $60. The games were developed by Naughty Dog while the remaster has been created from scratch by Vicarious Visions. The game is currently confirmed as exclusive to the PS4 and has proven to be a surprise hit for its publisher Activision. It was originally revealed by Sony at their E3 2016 press conference.
