Dai Gyakuten Saiban stars Phoenix Wright’s ancestor. His japanese name is Ryuunosuke Naruhodou. The full title for this new game in japanese is Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodo Ryuunosuke no Bouken. Translated to “The Great Ace Attorney: The Adventures of Ryuunosuke Naruhodou”. This is the next Ace Attorney game and series creator/director Shu Takumi returns to directing! Previously Shu Takumi was working on Professor Layton Vs Phoenix Wright for the 3Ds.

In the trailer, we’re introduced the four protagonists of the game. Ryuunosuke Naruhodo an attorney from Japan, his paralegal Nadeshiko Yamato, the great detective of mystery fiction Sherlock Holmes, and his assistant Watson. The twist for this game is that Watson is actually an eight year old girl. Known as a Literary Prodigy and M.D, Iris Watson rounds out the cast for this exciting new adventure. Pay special attention to the trailer, as you’ll see cameos of other well known Ace Attorney characters’ ancestors.

Dai Gyakuten Saiban goes between 20th century Japan and the U.K, providing exciting locations. The game features 3D models for the characters and locations just like Ace Attorney Duel Destinies did. It remains to be seen how the localization which sets Ace Attorney occuring in America (LA in the Phoenix Wright trilogy), will adapt this. The game has not been announced for a localization as of yet. Dai Gyakuten Saiban is set for the 3DS.
