Dark Souls 2 PC specs and release date revealed

Dark Souls 2 was released this week for the consoles with the PC version nowhere in sight, but now the developers have provided not only a release date, but also the specs required to run the game on your PCs. As mentioned on the official facebook page, the game would be making its way to PCs on April 25, almost 8 weeks after the console launch. The developers have said that the delay would result in a better experience for the PC gamers.

The PC and Steam version will benefit from PC capabilities with increased texture resolution and an enhanced frame rate option.

On top of that, FromSoftware has been working to perfectly adapt the game for a mouse and keyboard combo. Personally, I can’t imagine playing Dark Souls without a pad, but decent keyboard controls are symptomatic of a thoughtful port.

All of this sounds great!

Namco Bandai have also revealed the required configuration to play the game. Considering that the game runs on Xbox 360 and PS3, the requirements are not too demanding.
