Dark Souls Remastered PS4 Pro Version Compared With PC And PS3

Dark Souls Remastered was recently shown to several media outlets and new video footage has emerged of the game showcasing the improvements to the visuals. There are several comparison videos posted by various media outlets that compare the PS4 Pro version against the PC version with the DSFix and the PS3 version of the game.

Dark Souls Remastered features reworked visuals and several quality-of-life changes to the game. The multiplayer has also been improved allowing more player count while the game will run at 60 FPS on all consoles except for the Nintendo Switch.

The comparison videos below are taken by CandyLand, PlayStation Access and Erased Citizens.

Dark Souls Remastered was announced in a Nintendo Direct. The game will run at native 1080p on the Nintendo Switch but it is limited to just 30 FPS compared to the 60 FPS for the PS4, Xbox One and PC version. As for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X version, they will offer a higher resolution compared to the base PS4 and Xbox One.

Dark Souls needed a remaster badly because of the terrible performance of the game on the Xbox 360, PS3 and even the PC version itself was botched down until fans stepped up to release mods that fixed it. The remaster now features all the new improvements including frame rate and resolution in a single package and doesn’t need mods to make it work on PC.
