Back in Destiny 1, players got exotic weapons from Exotic Engrams, Nightfalls, etc. However, Bungie has made some changes for the new Destiny game. In Destiny 2, there are several quests that players can complete to get their hands on Exotic Weapons.
Among these exotic weapon quests is the quest that rewards you with the Exotic Hand Cannon called the Sturm. This is a very fun hand cannon to use and its exotic perk is great for PvE. This guide will help you obtain the Sturm Exotic Hand Cannon in Destiny 2.
How To Get The Sturm Hand Cannon In Destiny 2:
Before you start the quest for this Exotic Hand Cannon, you will have to complete the Destiny 2 campaign. Once you are done with that, talk to everyone on the tower. After that, look for a quest on Nessus called Exodus Black. In this quest, you will first have to talk to Failsafe. She will give you the quest to investigate a former captain’s voice. Activate the quest, and you will now have to search the area for audio logs of the crew members. This part can be time consuming, as the mini-map does not guide you to the audio logs. You will have to run around the area and keep an eye out for a ghost symbol to pop up on the top right side of your screen. The symbol indicates that there is an audio log nearby.
Once you have collected all the audio logs, open your director screen and track the new Exodus Black Quest called ‘My Captain’ on Nessus. In this mission, you will follow a friendly Harpy to the captain’s body. Get ready to fight, as you will have to defend the harpy from enemies, and defeat a boss as well. Complete this quest and continue to the next part.
Once you complete the quest, My Captain, you will be rewarded with a Relic of the Golden Age and the Legendary Sidearm called the Drang. Take this to Master Rahool on the Tower, to progress further into the quest. Rahool will decrypt the Relic of the Golden Age, and you will then need to complete three new objectives. You will have to decrypt five Legendary Engrams, one Exotic Engram, and kill 10 Fallen enemies on Nessus with the Drang Sidearm.
After completing these three objectives, players will have to go back to Master Rahool on the Tower. Speak to him, and he will tell you to talk to Tyra Karn at The Farm social space. Talking to Tyra Karn will lead you to the next objectives of the quest. The first objective is to defeat multiple Fallen enemies with the Drang without reloading, and you will have to do that ten times. Next, you will have to defeat 10 Powerful Fallen enemies on Nessus. Powerful Fallen enemies are any Fallen soldiers with a yellow health bar. To complete this objective, you can complete Public Events, explore Lost Sectors, or kill high-value targets that spawn randomly during your patrols.
Complete both objectives and return to Tyra Karn. She will give you the final part of this exotic quest. When you are done talking to her, open up your Director Screen and look for a quest with the name ‘Relics of the Golden Age’. This will start up a strike, which you will have to progress through, until you locate a Servitor called Kendricks-7. Destroy the Servitor, and complete the strike. Once you complete the strike, head back to Tyra Karn and she will reward you with the Exotic Sturm Hand Cannon.
Hopefully this guide helped you get your hands on the Sturm Exotic Hand Cannon in Destiny 2. The game is now available on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. For a guide on how to get the Coldheart Exotic Trace Rifle, click here.
