Destiny 2 is now available for pre-load on PS4 ahead of the official launch of the game on September 6th. You should be able to download the game if you have pre-ordered it on the PS4 or Xbox One. The PC version of the game is set to launch after a month, on October 26th.
The download size for the pre-load has been confirmed to be just over 32 GB while the full game install stands at 38 GB without any day one patch for it. Bungie hasn’t shared any details on a potential day 1 update for the game but don’t be surprised to see one as it gets closer to launch. The pre-load is currently live on the NA PlayStation Store but should go live on the EU Store by tomorrow.
Destiny 2 recently received a closed beta on PC. It was also available for a beta test on the PS4 and Xbox One. The game is a sequel to the blockbuster hit original Destiny that was created by Bungie. It is known for its excellent shooting mechanics and an addictive loot system although the story of the game at launch was criticized for its lack of narrative focus during the main story missions, this was somewhat fixed with the subsequent DLC releases for the game.
Destiny 2 is following the same DLC and pricing structure as the original with the Season Pass for the game being offered for $40 including two major DLC expansions for its year one DLC content. PS4 users will be able to enjoy access to exclusive DLC that won’t be available on Xbox One or PC until a later date.
