Destiny’s Trials of Osiris May Return Tomorrow, Hotfix Released For ‘Players In Activity’ feature

Bungie has released a new hotfix for Destiny that tries to resolve the ‘Players In Activity’ feature of the game. This hotfix will ensure that Bungie continues their regular schedule for Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris.

Destiny’s Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner events were delayed/cancelled due to bugs. This was the first time Bungie had to cancel an ongoing event for Destiny. Bungie also stated that Trials of Osiris might return tomorrow.

The new hotfix is intended for PS4 and Xbox One users and fixes the following issues.

  • Fixed an issue that could occur when inspecting activities being played by a large number of friends
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent matchmaking into an activity that was being played

The developers are also working on resolving some issues that are currently being investigated.

  • Players are not receiving Legendary Marks when completing the Daily Heroic Story Missions Paradox or Lost to Light. Until resolved, Legendary Mark rewards will be granted via Postmaster at a later date to those who complete the Daily Heroic activity when one of these missions is featured.
  • Some players who completed a Refer-a-Friend links on Bungie.net between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM PDT on June 10th, 2016, are unable to retrieve their Quest from the Speaker in the Tower. This issue does not impact the 7 day Referee eligibility time period for impacted players.

Destiny will receive its next major expansion, Rise of the Iron, on September 20th. This expansion adds new raid, maps, story content and weapons to the base game and it is currently confirmed as a current generation exclusive and won’t be released for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
