Destiny Will Be At Sony’s E3 Conference; Beta Announcement “Soon”, Definitely A “Looker” On PS4

Bungie’s Destiny is well positioned for another E3 Showcase at Sony’s Conference this year. We can also expect an announcement of the Beta for Destiny “Soon” according to the Community Manager of Bungie.

Destiny recently got plenty of press coverage ranging from previews, screens, to a brand new trailer and gameplay footage. Amidst this all was some info buried like PS4 being the lead platform for Destiny. SCEA’s Senior Social Media Manager, Sid Shuman was asked about the resolution and frame rate of Destiny on the PS4, considering the fact that it was the lead platform. Sid Shuman replied:

No word here yet, but it looked (and ran) great. Definitely a looker.

Bungie’s Community Manager confirmed that they will have a showcase at Sony’s E3 conference this year, in a reply to one user asking them about their E3 plans.

You’ll see us at E3. What happens in Los Angeles rarely stays in Los Angeles.

Regarding the Beta announcement, he used the word “Soon” to describe the plan of starting the Beta for Destiny. We don’t know how “Soon” is this going to be but our bet is that it should be close to E3, which is barely one and half month away now.

What do you think about Bungie’s Destiny? Are you excited for it? Let us know in the comments below.

  • maybe

We’ve heard “soon” for the past few months it seems. Since E3 is very close I think they will announce it then, but it really doesn’t seem soon enough.

Being an irate Fanchild about this isn’t going to solve anything. Of course they appreciate what the fans have helped make who they are today, but getting turned off by a game that has footage being shown from the lead platform is silly. Try to be rational here, Destiny looks really fun, no matter what platform it will be on. I don’t believe they will get it running at 60fps. So more than likely the Xbone version will be 1080p 30fps. That’s pretty good!

Why is Bungie completely ignoring it’s Xbox fanbase, you know, the people that helped make you what you are?!!!
Where’s the Xbox One footage and screen shots Bungie? Is there any point in getting interested in this game Bungie? Because if you are not going to show it on Xbox One how am I supposed to get excited about it? Or even want to buy it?
Bungie… you are letting your core fans down… this is really disappointing. Not happy Bungie… not happy at all.

    • lmao

Your name pretty much says it all.

Dude it’s part of the Sony exclusive contract that Activision and Sony worked out. The DLC part of the contract is timed but Destiny has to be advertised on X1.

The less Multiplat games at E3 in the Microsoft conference the better. I pretty much called that Destiny would be at Sonys conference again due to the lack of games they’ve got in development from the down sizing and restructuring.

Microsoft wants to get as many games unveiled and shown off at E3 as they can. And save other announcements for Gamescom/TGS/Pax Prime.

I’m sorry I didn’t know you were hooked into Sony’s 14 first-party studios and know exactly what they are doing. You think they’re just sitting around and twiddling their thumbs? NO! Just because a few studios got layoffs and restructured doesn’t mean they aren’t working on games for the PS4, Sony is just keeping everything close to their chest this time.

Clueless and wrong. New games will be announced from Sony’s 1st parties at E3.

        • Jack Joyce

Well them confirming MORE third party games isn’t a good sign for the level of exclusives to be announced. But nice try.

Sony has a lot of 1st parties and only a few of them have announced what they’re working on.

Remember PS3’s continued support with quality 1st party games long into its life? That’s going to continue on PS4.

PS4 has the superior version of all console AAA multiplats, The Order, Driveclub, MLB 14: The Show, Deep Down, Uncharted 4, TLOU Remake, more dev support including indies, free to play games and MMOs like FFXIV and Warframe, and unannounced 1st party games (Gran Turismo, God of War, Media Molecule, Quantic Dream, etc.) Titanfall 2 and future 3rd party games will almost certainly be on PS4.

“due to the lack of games they’ve got in development from the down sizing and restructuring.” Here folks, we have an example of another mental midget who apparently doesn’t have the cranial capacity to do a wiki search for ps4 and xbone games in development and see that the ps4 not only has a lot more games in development, but more exclusive games in development, more indie games in development, and everywhere and everything in between. Shameful, really.

Devs will favor PS4 the entire generation as it’s more powerful, easier to program for, and far more popular. Get used to it, your brain is nearly dead.

PS4 will have the graphics advantage the entire gen. PS4 hardware and software will outsell Xbox globally the entire gen. PS4 will have more dev support and more 1st party games the entire gen. PS4 will make a net profit, and Sony won’t go bankrupt.

LOL ! What are you retarded ? Microsoft made Bungie what they are ? Oh dear lord ! What a ridiculous statement.
