Destroy All Humans 2 has been rated by the Pan European Game Information (PEGI) board for PS4. This game, developed by Pandemic Studios and published by THQ, is an action-adventure game. This sequel for Destroy All Humans! was released on October 17, 2006 in North America for PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
The game is set in 1969 after Crypto and the Furon Empire have successfully taken over of the American government. It revolves around a plot that focuses on Cryptosporidium-138’s (Crypto for short) quest to stop KGB from destroying America. The sequel consists of some new weapons, a new storyline, and a few other new features, however, it has the same basic framework found in the first game.
There are five different areas to explore in the game, but the player starts from the Bay City inspired by San Francisco. Mission icons are displayed on a minimap and the player (as Crypto) can go around as he likes.
Appropriate alien weapons, like disintegrator rays, zappers, and anal probes are still part of Crypto’s arsenal, as they were in the previous game, however, a few new weapons are introduced in the sequel. One such weapon lets the player destroy buildings completely, while another allows the player to launch a hologram of a dead Furon, named Gastro, who floats around and shoots at any nearby enemies.
ESRB rated the first game with a T for Teen rating for: “Language, Sexual Themes, Violence.” This was followed by PEGI rating of the sequel for PS4 as PEGI 16 for depiction of violence, extreme bad language, and use of drugs.
