Morgan Stanley is a popular investment firm and they recently released their expectations for the performance of Square Enix, who just announced Dragon Quest XI for the PS4 and Nintendo 3DS.
According to the research firm, Dragon Quest XI is expected to ship more than 5 million copies across the PS4 and Nintendo 3DS in Japan. This in turn will result in a turnover of 24b yen and operating profit of 16b yen for Square Enix.
While there is no confirmed release date for the game, Dragon Quest creator Yuji Hori is planning to release it in time for the 30th anniversary of the series. This means that the game can launch next year, close to the 30th anniversary of Dragon Quest in Japan.
In addition to Dragon Quest XI, Square Enix are also planning to release Final Fantasy XV in 2016. Final Fantasy XV will have a worldwide launch while Dragon Quest XI is initially going to launch in Japan. Square Enix still hasn’t confirmed a localization for Dragon Quest XI but considering the fact that the game is also on the PS4, it won’t be surprising to see it localized for the West.
