Dragon’s Dogma is an action RPG that was originally released on the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game was praised for its fun combat system that offered the players a lot of freedom and was regarded as one of the best combat system in an action RPG. Sadly the game failed to meet the expectations set by Capcom, and as a result, Capcom has yet to return to the world of Dragon’s Dogma except for making an Online MMORPG called Dragon’s Dogma Online.

PCGamer recently had a chance to talk with the developers of Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen regarding the upcoming release of the PC version of the game. In this interview, the game producer Minae Matsukawa was asked about the possibility of a sequel to the original Dragon’s Dogma and his response was certainly interesting.

According to Matsukawa, there is a possibility that they might consider a sequel to Dragon’s Dogma depending on the player feedback from the PC version of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen.

The Dragon’s Dogma development team members often talk about the possibility of a sequel. We’d love to hear the opinions and feedback from players of the upcoming PC port of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, as that will increase the chances that we can look into the possibility of continuing the series.

He also confirmed that the original development team of Dragon’s Dogma is still at Capcom so this definitely raises the chance of the game getting a sequel in the future.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will be released on January 15th for the PC. It is currently available for pre-order on Steam.

I loved Dragons Dogma. I never played a game like it. Wasn’t boring story telling. Have me just enough info on where to go. Told me what my quest was and put a sword in my hand and killed some awesome beasts in awesome ways. To me it was better than all the other rgs of today that take forever to do anything. Only thing is I would have loved a horse. Even if it can be picked up by a Griffin. The pawns actually cast spells and do their jobs. Great job on the game to bad I can’t play it on ps4. Please save my gaming experience. Remember Zelda? Put a sword in my hands and let me climb up a monster and hack it to death. 🙂 Bitterback isle was awesome.
