It appears that Driveclub’s Playstation Plus version is finally nearing its release, as director Paul Rustchynsky confirmed to a fan on Twitter that the game is “in the final stages of development now”. The free version of Driveclub will be available for download to all Playstation Plus subscribers, although it won’t contain all the content available in the retail version.

The Playstation Plus edition was of Driveclub was put on indefinite hold amidst online connectivity and server issues during the launch of the retail version back in October 2014.Sony reassured fans that the Playstation Plus version would not see the light of day until all its issues had been resolved. It seems that the developer is now confident that the game’s servers will be able to sustain the significant rise in traffic brought about due to the Playstation Plus version.
