Dynasty Warriors 9 Patch 1.03 Adds New ‘Graphics’ Mode And Improves Frame Rate

Koei Tecmo has released a brand new update today for Dynasty Warriors 9. As promised earlier, they have improved the frame rate and performance for the game on PS4 with this update that adds a new ‘Graphics’ setting for all the base PS4 hardware. This new mode helps in stabilizing the frame rate at the expense of the visuals. While the PlayStation 4 Pro version already offered two different modes, Action and Cinematic, to stabilize frame rate or improve visuals, the base PS4 users had no choice but to deal with the poor performance.

The patch notes for update 1.03 mention the new Graphics mode along with the improved frame rate. You can read the full set of path notes below.

Added “Graphics” settings that enable the frame rate to be stabilized on systems other than a PlayStation 4 Pro System.

Improved the frame rate.

Implemented corrections that prevented an issue in which the ending move not be played and clearing the game was impossible during the endings for some officers.

Corrected a number of minor issues.

The download size of this update is rather small and it is under 100 MB. The update was made live on February 14th so it should be available to download now. If you are suffering through terrible performing on your PS4, it is best to download this update before playing the game.

Dynasty Warriors 9 is available now for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
