Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture Is 4-6 Hours Long, Not Going Physical Unless Sales Are High

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture developer The Chinese Room has replied to one of their fans tweets when he asked about how long the game will offer in terms of exploration.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is an apocalyptic adventure where you set off to discover the secrets of a village in the English city of Shropshire. The game will revolve around six main characters which you should reveal their pasts and unravel the mysteries this village holds. In my opinion, the longevity of a game like this that depends mainly on exploration should be between 5 to 10 hours just to keep you interested in it and The Chinese Room has done that.

They also stated that they won’t make physical copies of the game unless it sells “a very large number of copies”

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is set to release on August 11 exclusively for the PS4.

Why does every game need to be 60hrs? I don’t mind short games if it’s a great experience. Still I’d like to see the price reflect the quantity..

They dont but as this is a Playstation exclusive it has to be, if it was on xbone 4-6 hours of course would be fine cause you know xbox fanboy hypocrites.

When in doubt talk about xbox.

Well Journey was a play Station exclusive and was around 2hrs.

How much is it in UK?

    • Mostafa Hossam

About 20 pounds I think. Either that or you may have to convert from $20 to pounds

      • Dirkster_Dude

        As of today … $1 (USD) = 0.65 (British Pounds) or $1 (USD) = 0.91 (Euros).

        • omarcominyo

Exchange rates don’t always exist in the EU store, games that are $20 are usually £20!

Beyond: Two Souls [PS4] Heavy Rain [PS4], Be Until Dawn. Shadow of the Beast. Uncharted Collection and The Tomorrow Children

Exactly, Thank you for this I can’t stand. When Xbox fanboys act like PS4 Q3-4 games are obsolete. Because they’re not Halo 5, Forza or Halo/Gears remasters/remakes and a timed exclusive.

Both systems have good looking games coming out now and later. I’m glad to be an owner of both consoles so I don’t miss out.

Its not a first party game… Its developed by the Chinese Room

      • Anders

The Chinese Room is an independent developer but, the game is 100%
owned, funded, published by SCE and co-developed by Sony Santa Monica.
