The Evil Within 2 Pre vs. Post PS4 Pro Patch 4K Screenshot Comparison

The Evil Within 2 has finally received an update on the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. The update aims to support these two platforms although it appears to be rather lackluster when it comes to adding new visual enhancements to the game.

The bump in resolution on the PS4 Pro is confirmed to be around 1260p which is rather small upgrade compared to the 1800p support of the Xbox One X. Still, this doesn’t mean PS4 Pro owners can’t enjoy a better experience and in fact both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X support unlocked frame rate.

The comparison above illustrates the differences that can be expected from the game, However, the resolution bump appears to be rather minor for the game compared to 1800p on the Xbox One X. It remains to be seen if the frame rate is holding out on either of these platforms but it is sufficient to state that the higher hardware of the Xbox One X does provide an advantage of the PS4 Pro.

The Evil Within 2 is out now for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game was released without any official PS4 Pro support and then later Bethesda Softworks confirmed that a patch will be released to implement this support for both platforms.
