F1 2015 Reportedly Broken At Launch On PC; Codemasters Reponds To User Complaints

Batman: Arkham Knight might not be the only latest major release on PC that was broken at launch as people are reporting major issues with F1 2015 on PC. This can also be seen in the Steam reviews of the game, which are mostly negative so far.

There is currently a huge thread on Steam that is full of complaints about the game. People are reporting various issues ranging from inconsistent performance, lack of SLI support, massive input lag and problems related to input method in the game. It is quite clear from all the comments that the game is a huge mess on PC.

F1 2015 currently runs at 1080p on PS4 and 900p on the Xbox One. Both versions of the game target 60 fps for the game. It is rather strange to see that the PC version has received the less attention among all the platforms, but Codemasters is not keeping silent and they have noticed the issues present in the PC version.

Codemaster’s Community Manager seems to have taken notice of these issues, as he posted his reply on reddit assuring they are working on fixing the PC version.

Hey everyone, just wanted to hop in and say we’re aware of a lot of the issues users are facing at the moment and the team are working on getting a lot of these bugs squashed as fast as possible.

As always we really do appreciate your feedback and patience with us while we get these sorted.

Hopefully this means that they are working on fixing the game on PC, otherwise it could end up in a similar situation to the recently released Batman: Arkham Knight, which received a huge backlash because of its broken port on PC.

This is what happens when everyone preorders a game, the developers give up and move on, in essence they’ve already sold a copy, stop pre ordering and make the developers work for their pay cheques…

PC master race (of broken games).

I’d rather be a smart console peasant than a stupid pc elitist.

    • It has nothing to do with being a PC elitist. Remarks like that only show your ignorance as not everything who games on PC acts like that. The issue is companies not doing any sort of Q&A testing before shipping a game out, that’s the issue. Though people with the same train of thought like yourself doesn’t help. Suppose the console version was also busted, would you still react the same?

I’m neither hardware loyal nor brand loyal, so i would game on the machine that had the least problems. Thus, wouldn’t affect me much at all.

Some piss-poor devs doesn’t make console the smart choice, it’s bad for everyone when you get devs who do not care about any platform enough to QA it properly. I’d take living with a handful of those terrible developers/publishers than being entirely restricted across the board like a console though.

What a stupid comment, it’s like saying you prefer a Ford Focus over a Ferrari 360 because a Ferrari breaks down more often.

You’re as much of a douche now as those “master race” plebs.

A ferrari without wheels (triple a exclusives).

        That’s more accurate.
