Far Cry 4 Reportedly Will Have “A Lot More Multiplayer”


The ever loved Far Cry franchise gets your heart pumping every time information trickles down the drain. The much popular Far Cry 1 included a campaign with a single storyline however having resemblance to the Left 4 Dead franchise as it was divided into episode style segments. Along with that, it had a 4 Player Co-op which was completely separate from the campaign.


Ubisoft CFO Alain Martinez expanded on the company’s overall philosophy for multiplayer: “We are moving to make games that are extended over long periods, so in those games, we not only want to sell more [ units ], but we want to sell more items, more content,” says Martinez. “That’s one of the challenges of course, but that’s what we’re some other players have successfully done.”

Ubisoft officially revealed Far Cry 4 earlier yesterday stating: “Once again, players will be able to craft their own stories as they travel through this exotic open world teeming with wildlife – using their wits along with an assortment of powerful weapons and diverse vehicles.”

Far Cry 3 has sold 9 million units since its release back in December 2012, Ubisoft expects Far Cry 4 to preform even better than its predecessor. The game takes place in a fictional Himalayan country of Kyrat according to the official information released so far.

Far Cry 4 is set to release on November 18th in North America and November 21 in Europe for the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
