Far Cry Primal Confirmed for 2016 release

You might have heard some recent rumors and controversial news on the imminent announcement of Ubisoft on its youtube channel. The live stream of a cave painting was what was gathered. The accidental announcement of Far Cry primal. Well, now it’s confirmed! Far Cry primal is set to release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One worldwide on 23rd February 2016, followed by a PC edition in March 2016.

Far Cry Primal takes you back to the Stone Age. The game takes you to the untamed land of Oros in which you meet Takkar, the sole survivor of an ambush on his hunting group. Takkar will have to counter wild primitive beasts such as mammoths, savage sabretooth tigers and sometimes will have to fight against hostile tribes of rival hunters in an attempt to re-unite his lost tribe.

Like every Far Cry before it, Far Cry Primal takes place in a massive open world. The game introduces you to different landscapes, ranging from swamps to redwood cedar forests. The use of fire is perhaps just as important, if not more important, than the weapons Takkar crafts as it is used for protection at night and he can use it for additional tactical options when assaulting beasts or infiltrating enemy outposts

Executive producer Dan Hay explained that the concept of Far Cry was so flexible, which is why we were all ears to the idea of Far Cry in the Stone age and the more the idea was discussed the more we realized what a great idea it was. While Jean-Christophe Guyot, creative director, Ubisoft declared stone age to be perfect for Far Cry.
