A few days ago, Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy IX will launch on PC and Smartphones in early 2016 and today, Steam page of the game finally went live revealing the system requirements and some additional details about the PC version.

This new Final Fantasy IX remake will feature high speed and no encounter modes along with five other game boosters. There are also some new features coming to the PC version of Final Fantasy IX. You can have a look at them below.

  • High-definition movies and character models.

Square Enix also revealed the game’s system requirements along with some screenshots to give us a glimpse at what we will get. Here’s what you need to run this 16 years old game on your PC.

Minimum PC System Requirements:

  • OS: Windows Vista/7/8/8.1/10
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz or higher
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8600GTS or ATI Radeon HD4650 or higher
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 20 GB available space

Recommended PC System Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (32 or 64 bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 2520 2.5 GHz or better
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8600GTS or ATI Radeon HD4650 or higher
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 20 GB available space

Square Enix has promised that the PC version of the game will feature high-definition graphics and will deliver a thrilling in-game experience.

Final Fantasy IX was originally released back in 2000 for Sony PlayStation. After that, it was released as a PS One Classic on PS3 and PS Vita. The game is developed and published by Square Enix.
