Square Enix has released their full financial briefing for their fiscal year ending March 2016 and among their upcoming major games, they expect Final Fantasy XV and Deus Ex: Human Revolution to be a significant contributor to their revenue.
Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda also mentions that they have seen an impressive volume of pre-orders for Final Fantasy XV, which is set to release worldwide on September 30th for the PS4 and Xbox One.
“We expect our biggest FY2017/3 title to be FINAL FANTASY XV, which has already racked up an impressive volume of pre-orders worldwide. It will be the first single-player FINAL FANTASY title that we will release simultaneously around the globe, and we intend to be fully ready for it.”
Kingdom Hearts II.8 is another major release for Square Enix and while there is no release date given for it yet, we do have a confirmation that it will be released in 2016 for Japan and North America/Europe. Keep in mind that the slide for the upcoming games is not complete and lacks some other 2016 releases including Nier Automata.
Square Enix also talks about 2017 being the 30th Anniversary for Final Fantasy and mentions that they are “hoping to build up excitement through a variety of commemorative events.”
Final Fantasy XV will be released on September 30th for the PS4 and Xbox One.
