Now we all know what a bro-fest Final Fantasy XV is shaping up to be but don’t worry as Female characters might show up as guest characters in the final game. The game’s director Hajime Director gave an interview to Japanese magazine Famitsu (via Hachima, translation via Siliconera) where he discussed player reactions and the post Episode Duscae survey fans were asked to fill.
Fans really showed interest in seeing Female party characters after playing the demo, Tabata had the following to say:
There’s a chance that we may have female characters participate as guests in the party,
Since [the party] is made up of only men, you might even get to see their behaviour change when there’s a lady around.
On the battle system and its evolution:
The demo’s battle system is at around 50% in terms of progress [relative to being completed in the full version],
We’d like to thoroughly respond to the improvement requests. The full version will feature new elements such as magic and cooperative chains, so I believe it will be completely different.
Tabata also mentioned that the team initially planed to have a “part destruction” feature while fighting monsters, but due to the hurdles they’ve been facing, they’ve dropped the idea for the time being. He also mentioned the glorious Ramuh summon which is a thing of beauty really. He promised improvements to the system in the full game.
Square Enix is hard at work on Final Fantasy XV which is in development for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The game doesn’t have a release date yet.
