Final Fantasy XV: New Glitch Allows Open World Exploration In Niflheim Empire

Final Fantasy XV is an open world action RPG allowing the player to explore the world as they desire, however the game appears to move towards linear progression near the end, leaving one whole continent out of player’s hand in the second half of the game.

A new glitch has been discovered by YouTube user Caelum Rabanastre XII/XV which allows him to go out of bounds during the linear second half and then explore the open world there. This means the user can technically explore the whole second continent that also includes the Niflheim empire along with Tenebrae. You can watch his exploration in the video below.

Unfortunately as it stand, there doesn’t appear to be any interesting locale or landmark for the most part. The entire geometry in that area is essentially flat which results in a long boring trek across it with nothing in between to make the journey interesting.

Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy XV will get 3 story DLCs focused on each of the main cast of characters. The first DLC is currently in development for Gladio and it will be followed by two more story DLCs featuring Ignis and Prompto. These DLCs are all a part of the Season Pass of the game.

Final Fantasy XV is available now for the PS4 and Xbox One.

Hope they can expand the ff15 map a bit, so much space that’s there yet a lot of limitations. Let us swim around and take away those invisible walls. We can only see what they will do with it in the future. If they want to make this long lasting they should listen to what the fans what and try to work those needs in.

The whole Niflheim and Altissia areas were scrapped to focus on completing the game. The original map had all three areas in one giant continent, but they’ve now been reduced to islands with no outside exploration at all. The original map size, if congruent with the locations on the original map, would’ve been five times bigger than what was in the final product.

I would buy another season pass if it meant they’d add more areas and scenes. There’s no good reason they can’t make this game amazing.

I hope the future DLCs (and other updates) are a success, so that patch Tabata and team could patch (in some capacity) this areas into the game.
