Final Fantasy XV Patch 1.23 Is Out Now; Here’s What It Does

Square Enix has released the latest update for Final Fantasy XV ahead of the launch of the Royal Edition. This update will implement support for the Royal Pack for those who still have the base game and have purchased the Royal Pack with it. In addition to the Royal Pack support, it also adds plenty of new content for the Comrades multiplayer expansion if you own it.

The full patch notes for both of the recent updates can be seen below. The download size of the update is around 3.8 GB on the PS4 and 4.7 GB on the Xbox One.

Version 1.23

  • Addition of new Comrades quests (exclusive to COMRADES)
  • Implementation of new Royal Sigils (exclusive to COMRADES)
  • Introduction of chocobo breeding features (exclusive to COMRADES)
  • Addition of new trophies (exclusive to COMRADES)
  • Various bug fixes

Version 1.22

  • Addition of compatibility with FINAL FANTASY XV ROYAL PACK
  • Inclusion of character dossiers (accessible from the Archives)
  • Announcement of winning snapshots from fourth photo contest (viewable at Mother of Pearl at Galdin Quay)
  • Implementation of new quests in Chapter 10
  • Various bug fixes

Final Fantasy XV is getting a Royal Edition on March 6th that bundles the full game with all post-launch DLC and the newly announced Royal Pack. This Royal Pack can also be bought separately although it won’t contain the full season pass then. The game is also getting released on PC with the Windows Edition on the same date.
