Final Fantasy XV Update Version 1.24 Is Out Now; Here’s What It Does

Square Enix has released a brand new update for Final Fantasy XV for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. This new patch will update the game to version 1.24 and adds a new costume for Ignis and two new cooking recipes to the game.

The download size for this update is rather large, weighing in at more than 3.5 GB for the PS4. It should be available to download now on all platforms.

The patch notes for the update can be seen below. The new costume for Ignis can be obtained by finished his DLC episode. It seems to be a different outlook for him in the main game.

New Features

  • Introduction of a new outfit as a reward for completing Episode Ignis (Unkempt Crownsguard / Crownsguard Uniform [Wild Hair])
  • Addition of two new cookbooks which contain the Kupoberry Cheesecake and Golden Chocobo Tart (available for purchase in Altissia)

Adjustments

  • Implementation of ability to change title background after completing Episode Ignis (L1/LB or R1/RB)
  • Adjustment of loading screen tips

Bug Fixes

  • Various bug fixes

Final Fantasy XV is available now for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game launched back in November 2016 and has continued to receive a strong post-launch support with free updates and Season Pass downloadable content. More content is expected to arrive going into 2019 with Episode Ardyn, Luna, Noctis and Aranea arriving sometime later that year.
