Final Fantasy XV was recently confirmed for a release on September 30th for the PS4 and Xbox One. Now that the game is fully uncovered, the game director Hajime Tabata has been talking to the press and sharing details regarding the game.
In an interview with PlayStation Access, Hajime Tabata shared some interesting new details regarding the final game.
Tabata confirmed that the game will have a new game+ mode so those who will complete it can utilize this mode to start the game again but carry over their stats and equipment from their previous playthrough. This mode is a staple for RPGs so it is nice to know that it will be available in the game at launch. In addition to the new game+ mode, Tabata also talked about the open world and load times stating that there won’t be any load times when we drive the car or fly it in the world, basically confirming it as a seamless open world game.
Tabata also shared some interesting tidbit regarding the gameplay. He confirmed that weapons will have status effects and that there won’t be any tonberry like enemies in the game, but he did confirm the inclusion of moogles.
Lastly, Tabata refused to give out info on the mysterious woman that can be seen in the Kingsglaive trailer and assured that her details will be revealed soon, he also confirmed that the old man in the story trailer was indeed Cid, which is a classic FF character name.
