Final Fantasy XV will have a worldwide release, SE will talk about it “soon”

Final Fantasy XV will feature heavily at the upcoming Gamecom conference in Cologne as publishers Square Enix have a stage demo planned for the event. Its safe to say we’re set to hear a lot about Final Fantasy XV in the coming days.

In more Final Fantasy XV news the latest issue of Famitsu, which release on Thursday, has apparently “leaked”. The issue has an interview with Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda where he talks about the much awaited next game in the Final Fantasy mainline series.

According to the leaked interview the game is planned to have a worldwide release and that they’ll be talking about it “soon”. Could Gamescom be soon enough?

If the game really is being release simultaneously worldwide or even a few days close to each other instead of months like previous Final Fantasy games then this is great news. We’ll keep an eye for official confirmation when the magazine comes out on Thursday so stay tuned.

I’m not sure how I feel about Final Fantasy XV now. With the recent changes it just doesn’t seem as exciting. The invasion no longer happens in the city, it happens while the party is out driving around in their car? It just doesn’t seem as epic as it did a few years ago. I hope I’m wrong. I’m just worried that most of the game will take place out in fields fighting monsters. Which isn’t very exciting.
