Game Critics E3 2015 Awards winners announced – Fallout 4 wins Best of Show

Winners of The Game Critics E3 2015 Awards have been announced, with the panel of judges choosing Bethesda’s Fallout 4 as their pick for overall Game of the Show. The post-apocalyptic RPG also won the awards for Best PC Game and Best Role Playing Game. With the game getting released this year, it’s undoubtedly a strong candidate for 2015’s Game of the Year. Whether the media feels as strongly about the game in November as it does today remains to be seen, however.

Meanwhile, Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End snagged the honors for Best Console Game, Best Action/Adventure Game, as well as a Special Commendation for Graphics. The latter comes as no surprise, as the game’s on-stage E3 demo left everyone in awe for its outstanding visuals and physics-driven destruction.

The third big winner is EA’s Star Wars: Battlefront, which won the award for Best Multiplayer Game. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, given DICE’s focus on building a deep and robust multiplayer experience. Though, we’re hoping Battlefront doesn’t suffer from the same online connectivity issues that plagued Battlefield 4’s launch. In addition to its win in the multiplayer category, Star War: Battlefront also managed to grab the award for Best Action Game. The E3 gameplay showcase was certainly a spectacle to behold, with tons of action taking place on the ground as well as in the skies.
