The Coalition has revealed the release date for Gears of War 4 for the Xbox One. According to the developers, the game will launch worldwide on October 11th. They have also confirmed that the split-screen mode will be a part of the final game.
Gears of War 4 is currently confirmed exclusively for the Xbox One. It is being developed by The Coalition under the direction of series veteran Rod Fergusson. It was recently revealed that the game will run at native 1080p on the Xbox One. The frame rate is different between the SP and MP just like Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for Xbox One. The single player portion will run at 30 fps while the multiplayer portion will run at 60 fps.
Gears of War 4 will also continue the tradition of having a split-screen multiplayer mode. This was confirmed by the game director Rod Fergusson in an interview with GameInformer. However unlike the multiplayer portion of the game, the frame rate will drop to 30 fps in split-screen mode.
