Ghost of Tsushima Takes You To Feudal Japan With First Gameplay Footage

Sony has debuted the first gameplay footage for Ghost of Tsushima, the open world samurai game from Sucker Punch. It is set in 12th-century Feudal Japan and developed by Sucker Punch, who has previously worked on the inFamous series.

The gameplay demo for Ghost of Tsushima opened with a mixture of stealth and action focused gameplay. The main protagonist is able to ride horses and sneak around buildings to reach his target.

The full gameplay footage can be seen below, as revealed at Sony’s E3 2018 press conference.

In 1274, the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the Japanese island of Tsushima and slaughters its legendary samurai defenders. Jin Sakai is one of the last survivors of a noble samurai clan. To combat his overwhelming foes, he must pioneer deadly new fighting techniques–the way of The Ghost–and wage an unconventional war for the people of Japan.

Ghost of Tsushima will be released in 2019 exclusively for the PS4.
