God Of War Standard Ed Is Unavailable On EU PS Store, Forcing Users To Buy Expensive Deluxe Ed

God of War is one of the most anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive which is due on on April 20th. The game is available to pre-order through the official PlayStation Store in almost every region, however Sony has apparently removed the standard edition of the game from the EU PlayStation Store leaving it as an exclusive to the US PlayStation Store. This forces the user to spend more money on buying the digital deluxe edition since it is the only choice available there.

If you have a North American PlayStation Netwok, you can pre-order the standard edition of God of War which is priced at $59.99 or the Digital Deluxe Edition which will cost you $69.99. This is not the case for the EU PlayStation Store where the only choice is the Digital Deluxe Edition priced at £52.99. The digital deluxe edition comes with the following bonus content.

Pre-order now to get three bonus in-game shields:
• Buckler of the Forge.
• Dokkenshieldr.
• Shining Elven Soul Shield.

Digital Edition also includes:
• Death’s Vow armour set.
• Exile’s Guardian Shield.
• Dark Horse digital comic.
• Dark Horse digital art book.
• Dynamic PS4™ theme.

Aside from the theme, artbook and armor set, the shield bonus is also available for those who have the standard edition pre-ordered through the NA PlayStation Store. It seems like a strange choice to force the fans to buy an expensive edition if they are interested in getting the game digitally.

God of War PS4 will be out on April 20th. It is being developed by Sony Santa Monica Studios and will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
