God of War PS4 Director Confirms Again That The Game Won’t Offer Microtransactions

God of War director Cory Barlog has usually taken his sweet time to reply some of the more demanding fans questions and when a recent rumor about God of War having microtransactions made it to his twitter account, he was quick know to debunk it confirming again that the game won’t have any microtransactions.

In a set of tweets, the director called the rumor ‘silly things’ and said that there is no way the game will have microtransactions of any kind. The obsession with these kind of rumors has started with the backlash against Star Wars Battlefront 2 although God of War PS4 is mostly a single player game so the rumor was out of place anyways.

Sony has confirmed the release date of God of War last month and it is now out on April 20th. The game is also getting a special limited edition PS4 Pro console that will launch alongside it on the same date. This console can be preordered for $399 while if you have the time to look at the other preorder versions, you can check out the digital deluxe or collector’s edition as well.

God of War will launch exclusively for the PS4. It was developed by Sony Santa Monica Studios and will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. PS4 Pro owners can also enjoy enhanced visuals and other features with the support for the hardware.
