Halo 6 Might Not See A Release In 2018 As Hinted By 343 Community Manager

Microsoft has usually focused on releasing their holy trinity of first party games each year. Halo 5 was released in 2015 followed by Gears of War 4 in 2016 while Forza completes the trinity. However, recently a 343 Industries Community Manager has hinted that Halo 6 might not be releasing in 2018 after all.

In a comment posted on the official 343 Industries blog, the community manager posted the following message.

2018 has arrived and with it, the promise of new fun times to be had and adventures to be embarked upon. No, not those adventures, but plenty of exciting ones regardless – some which might surprise you more than others.

Microsoft hasn’t officially announced Halo 6 but considering the fact that it is the most popular first party IP of Microsoft, it won’t be surprising to see the game getting announced soon. Although, it remains to be seen if the game is actually coming out this year. It would be surprising though, since Halo games usually get a lot of hype and a marketing cycle to back them leading all to its release, so while Halo 6 might get announced at E3 2018, it can potentially get a release next year.

The other exciting news for the Halo fans is the Xbox One X update for Halo: Master Chief Collection. This update was announced last year and it has been in development for a while now. While Halo 5 has already received its update for Xbox One X, fans are still waiting for a patch for Halo: Master Chief Collection.
