The existence of the PC version of Hellblade was confirmed back in January 2015 where the studio stated that the game will be released for PC and that it might even support 4K resolution along with mod support on PC.
Ninja Theory’s creative chief, Tameem Antoniades, told PC Gamer “I think PC offers us a level of freedom that we haven’t had before,” He continued “We’re looking at everything we do on this project and figuring out better ways of doing things compared to how the traditional AAA console model works. And consoles are following suit with PC, but I think they’re years behind what things like Steam are doing.” He also stated that he will most likely ask his fans about the things they want to see in the game so that they can get what they wished for.
In Hellblade, you will play as Senua and will have to make your way through a hellish underworld which is actually a world inside Senua’s mind created by her because of mental illness. The game will deliver a ninja-based melee gameplay experience along with strong character stories. Hellblade is said to be an independent AAA title according to the studio and we can expect a lot from it as Ninja Theory is well known for its notable works including Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and DmC: Devil May Cry.
Hellblade is set to release in 2016 on PC and PS4. There is still no word on a possible Xbox One version yet. The game is developed and published by Ninja Theory.
