Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds Released Date Announced

Horizon Zero Dawn is getting its first story DLC expansion called The Frozen Wilds. This expansion was officially announced at E3 2017 and today Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed the release date for this upcoming expansion to their critical and commercial hit game.

The Frozen Wilds will take Aloy across a journey into a completely new territory that will be full of highly lethal machines. It can be currently pre-ordered on the PlayStation Store with a discount for PlayStation Plus members. It is available to pre-order for $19.99 or $14.99 if you have an active PS Plus subscription.

You can watch the new trailer shared by Sony Interactive Entertainment today below.

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds requires the base game in order to be played. When the game initially launched, there was no Season Pass available for it so this is essentially the first DLC expansion for the game. Horizon Zero Dawn was developed by Guerrilla Games on their Decima Engine, which is also being used for Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding.

The game was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and released this March exclusively for the PS4. The game uses the extra hardware offered by the PS4 Pro to render at 4K resolution making it visually one of the most impressive open world game on the PS4 Pro.
